Board of Directors Special Meeting
Thursday, January 31, 2008
Meeting Conducted Online and Via Conference Call
 
President Rowell called the National Chimney Sweep Guild Board of Directors to order at 1:42 pm.

Directors Present: Randy Brooks, Kevin DeLucenay, Robert Huta, Bob Priesing, Howard Rowell, Steve Pietila, Stephen Kuber, Diane Pilger, George Stroup and Jay Walker

Directors Absent: Jim Baynes, Jeremy Biswell and John Wharton

Staff Present:
Mark McSweeney, Melissa Heeke, Judy Thompson, Ashley Eldridge, Debbie Cornelius, Royal Edwards, Art Garrett, Esq. of Keller & Heckman

Guests Present: Bo Tasso, Erika Schmidt, Tom Urban
 
A motion was made by Stephen Kuber and seconded by George Stroup to approve the minutes of the November 1, 2007 meeting. Voting in favor: Randy Brooks, Kevin DeLucenay, Robert Huta, Bob Priesing, Howard Rowell, Steve Pietila, Stephen Kuber, Diane Pilger, George Stroup and Jay Walker Motion passed unanimously.  
 
A motion was made by Steve Pietila and seconded by Bob Priesing to accept the proposed Supplier Standards of Practice. Voting in favor: Robert Huta, Stephen Kuber, Steve Pietila, Bob Priesing, Howard Rowell, George Stroup and Jay Walker. Voting against: Randy Brooks, Kevin DeLucenay and Diane Pilger. Motion passes.
 
Robert Huta presented an update on the NCSG Governance Task Force.
 
Howard Rowell emailed proposed amendments to CSIA bylaws to the NCSG board on January 25, 2008. He asked that directors make themselves available during the week of February 25, 2008 for an online special board meeting for the purpose of considering whether or not to approve the proposed amendments. 
 
Upcoming board meeting:
1:00pm PDT – Tuesday, April 15, 2008 – Reno, NV

A motion was made by Steve Pietila and seconded by Randy Brooks to adjourn the meeting. Voting in favor: All in favor. Motion passes unanimously.  
 
The meeting was adjourned at 2:39 pm.
